WIDC is about celebrating wood as one of the most beautiful and sustainable materials for building here in BC and around the globe. We have been champions of this message for quite some time and have been able to connect to a very global conversation of possibility. This project IS THAT POSSIBLITY. Our goal is to use the WIDC design as a stepping-stone for further innovation and scale that will continue to grow the wood story and industry.
Our design is about celebrating the beauty of wood, the potential and increase of its use, and ultimately how our WIDC solution will help advance and revitalize the Prince George Community, the BC forest economy and the global conversation of the future of wood architecture.
Our WIDC design illustrates innovations that are repeatable, elegant and cost effective. Our solution is about durability, simplicity, flexibility and expandability. It is fundamentally about selling more wood and improving the BC Forest economy while also creating an design with an enduring story and a legacy for Prince George and UNBC.
Prince George and UNBC are communities that can be transformed by expanding the local economy through world-class facilities and vision. Together the program and the location offer us a great opportunity to create something quite unique that can tell a meaningful story.
Our goal is the very essence of what WIDC is all about: INNOVATION + DESIGN EXCELLENCE.
