Carl Ruby, PhD. is currently serving as a consultant for the National Immigration Forum. His responsibilities include networking with evangelical leaders, developing strategies to influence members of congress, and building networks of leaders in the faith community, law enforcement, and business on behalf of immigration reform. Previously he spent 27 years in higher education, serving as a recruiter, a therapist, an instructor, a seminar speaker, a development officer, and finally as a senior executive. Dr. Ruby spoke about immigration reform at the Captive Nations Week annual commemoration dinner of the American nationalities Movement, Inc. His first of 4 questions to answer was ‘Why do today’s immigrants come to the US?’ He said the main reason they come here is to work — to get higher wages (the Place Premium), be more productive and live the American Dream. http://www.clevelandpeople.com/dontmiss.htm
