Thank you for considering America’s Home Place Inc., as your preferred choice to build your new dream home. We appreciate the opportunity to validate the trust you will place in us and we will do our best to meet and exceed your expectations.
While our aim is to build you a beautiful house that you are proud to call home, it is important for you to know that your new home will not be 100% perfect. Each home we build is “hand made,” assembled by hand from thousands of individual parts by a team of skilled professionals. In fact, no builder can build a 100% perfect home regardless of the price.
To provide you peace of mind and reassurance that your experience doesn’t stop when you are handed the keys upon our completion, every America’s Home Place home is covered by a limited one-year warranty. So, whenever you have a question about your warranty, we are just a phone call away.
In order to distinguish between normal imperfections and construction defects, America’s Home Place has adopted the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines for Professional Builders and Remodelers, Fifth Edition published by the National Association of Home Builders as our warranty guideline. This publication is widely used in the industry as a construction standards guideline and has been reviewed by hundreds of industry professionals.
What this means is that for a period of one year after the settlement date, any construction defect that does not conform to the warranty guidelines will be considered a warranty item. Warranty items will be corrected according to acceptable procedures and typical industry practices as defined by the performance guidelines. Please note that minor and hard to see nicks, scratches, cuts, blemishes and finish variations are not covered by the limited one-year warranty. This manual also includes many helpful hints that can help you avoid common problems that can arise as you live in your new home.
All warranty requests can be submitted in person or in writing via email or fax. However, in the event of any emergency requiring immediate attention in order to protect you and your family from harm and to avoid damage to your property, a local 24 hour phone number will be provided at settlement.
The manufacturers of kitchen appliances will work directly with you if any repairs are needed for these products. Customer service phone numbers are listed in the Use and Care documents provided with the individual appliances. Be prepared to provide the model and serial number of the item and the settlement date on your new home. Appliance warranties are generally for one year, but please refer to the literature provided by the manufacturer for complete information.
The wide range of materials used in your new home is subject to some degree of slight damage through processing, handling and installation. Minor scratches, dents or other imperfections will occur and are unavoidable. Minor variations in wood finishes, caused by natural variations in the wood surfaces will also occur. These imperfections are normal to new construction and do not require any corrective action. However, some imperfections do constitute a construction defect that needs to be repaired.
Additionally, many of the other products within your new home may come with additional years of warranty coverage. We recommend you become acquainted with all of the various types of products installed and understand the proper maintenance of each of these products.
