Thanks everyone who attended the PMISSC meeting to learn how to transform your career by crafting your own personal story.

We are wired to remember stories. This is why storytelling is a powerful technique for building relationships. It helps you connect with people you meet and keeps them engaged. Whether you’re updating your resume, your LinkedIn profile, or a cover letter, you need to capture your audience’s attention in less than 17 seconds.

We only have 7 seconds to make a strong first impression when meeting someone new. A powerful personal story helps you create a meaningful, lasting first impression. That’s why it’s crucial to take the time up front to fully develop your own story to advance your career.

This session helps you understand how you can overcome the first impression barrier and clearly communicate to others where you are in your career and where you want to go next. It identifies steps to help you create a captivating personal story to make a great first impression, expand your professional network, and connect with others who may need your abilities and expertise.

As an entrepreneur, I’m CTO of V-Sense Medical, Inc. A vendor of smart connected devices for healthcare professionals that want to measure a patient’s heart and breathing rate seamlessly to improve their quality of life.

As a product manager, I’ve launched over 30 global products resulting in over 0M in sales revenue. I have over 15 years of experience leading product teams, guiding decisions about product investments, and creating new revenue streams.

As a consultant, I help make smarter decisions and get better results from product investments. I provide product management and product marketing services to mid-market and large enterprises through the 280 Group.

As an author, I’m a contributor to the Guide to the Product Management and Marketing Body of Knowledge (ProdBOK®), a global standard of methodologies and practices to help organizations improve product outcomes.

As a community leader, I’m Marketing Director for the Project Management Day of Service. An outreach effort that provides pro bono consulting services to executives within community-serving nonprofits that need assistance to advance their mission. This allows corporate workers to apply their expertise to make a difference in our community.
